Samantha Smith

Violin

Sam began playing violin at the age of 7 with the late Richard DiAdadamo of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She was a member of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony and had the opportunity to tour with the group to Europe in 2014.

Sam graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Business Certificate in 2019. While in college, she had the chance to perform with multiple orchestras in and around the Pittsburgh area, including Butler Symphony, Youngstown Symphony, West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and more. Upon graduating from Duquesne, she relocated to Rochester, NY, working for a string instrument workshop called Sullivan Violins as the marketing communications manager and violin sales specialist.

Sam is currently a second-year law student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and is very excited to be back in Pittsburgh to continue to gig for weddings and events in the area.

Sam joined Radiant Strings in 2022 in an official capacity after performing with the group consistently for a year. Sam and Nicole have been close friends since high school, performing together in The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony and studying at Duquesne together. Sam can make anyone laugh, and her smile is bright light on a wedding day.
