Violin

Nicole is a Pittsburgh-born violinist who started playing at the age of 3. She was nurtured by 2 professional musician parents, as well as a multitude of professional and familial connections which helped her grow into a confident, smart, and talented musician & business woman.

She is currently the Adjunct String Teacher at Pittsburgh CAPA High School, part of the Violin Faculty and Director of Marketing at The Pittsburgh Music Academy.

She began her violin lessons with Jennifer Madge at the Pittsburgh Music Academy. During her time attending Pittsburgh CAPA High School, Nicole won numerous titled chairs at PMEA orchestra festivals, representing Pittsburgh in the NAFME All-Eastern Festival in 2013 in Hartford, Connecticut. Nicole was also a member of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, traveling to and performing in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna, The Mozartedum in Saltzburg, and the Slovak Radio Hall in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2014. She was also concertmaster of the EQT Pittsburgh Symphony Side-by-Side orchestra in 2013 & 2014.

Nicole attended Duquesne University where she graduated with a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications and a Minor in Violin and Business Administration. Her dual degree opportunities allowed her to grow as a marketing strategist as well as a violinist. Nicole was an active student in the Mary Pappert School of Music, studying with Rachel Stegeman, and performing as part of the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra for all 4 years of college, sitting Principle 2nd Violin under Maestro Meyer for the 2017 fall cycle. She completed Suzuki Teacher Training at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute in 2016. She performs with regional orchestras like the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, and the Johnston Symphony Orchestra. She has also shared the stage with legendary recording artists like Josh Groban, Evanescence, Il Divo, The Jacksons, Foreigner, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Michael Buble.

Nicole graduated from West Virginia University December 2021 with her MS in Data Marketing Communications. She plans to use this degree as she continues to perform, teach, and advocate for classical music in the City of Pittsburgh and beyond.

Nicole started Radiant Strings in 2019 with a group of friends to prioritize musical excellence and having fun on a wedding day. She is the glue that brings all of the fabulous musicians of Radiant Strings together, and she couldn’t be more proud of the growth of this business.
