Violin/Viola & Arranger

Adam M. Janssen is a musician, composer, and educator native to Pittsburgh, PA. He began playing the violin at the age of eight and has subsequently added many more instruments to his repertoire; he defies his teachers’ warnings that he would have to pick a concentrated instrument and enjoys playing violin, viola, trombone, guitar, piano, and many other instruments at a professional level. He maintains an active freelance performing schedule and is equally comfortable in the studio, orchestra hall, wedding and restaurant/bar scene.

As a composer, Mr. Janssen writes and arranges extensively for orchestra as well as string, brass and vocal chamber music. He also produces his own singer/songwriter projects. He has celebrated the premiered his debut album, Long Way Down, featuring Radiant Strings on a number of original tracks. The album made its debut in 2022 and is available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify.

Mr. Janssen teaches Instrumental Music for Propel Schools, an urban charter school. Mr. Janssen is a 2015 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied Music Performance (Trombone), Music Education, and Business Administration. He just graduated with his Master of Music in Music Education degree at Boston University.

Adam joined Radiant Strings in 2020 and has been arranging music for the group since 2022. His dedication to his craft sets him apart in the Pittsburgh music scene. He and Nicole met in 2015 and have been friends ever since.
